Dear my Chinese friends,

I am sure more than a few Japanese may feel unhappy about the Japanese goverment's deportation, not prosecution, of those Hong Kong activists who landed on a disputed island. Japan's conservative press and opposition parties will criticize this as a weak-kneed attitude. But it's a good way to avoid worsening ties with China.

To return Japan's restrained deportation measures this time, I hope China and Hong Kong will stop such activists from going to the disputed islands again.

FYI.
